Baby Vaccines

Babyvax Image Having a new baby is often a daunting enough experience for parents even before you turn to the vaccination page of your "Red Book". Although this section of your child's development and medical record book does contain very helpful information and explanations for vaccinating children, we find that parents often have many supplementary questions that they want answering. There have been many changes to the type and number of vaccines that we give our children in their first 18 months. Parents deserve access to a comprehensive informed consultation process so that they can fully understand all aspects of why vaccines are given, their risks, their benefits and how our children may be vaccinated in the safest way possible.

Clarion Health is able to provide just such an advice service, in addition to providing alternative vaccination schedules for those parents concerned about administering multiple concurrent vaccines, or wanting to have mercury / thiomersal-free vaccines.

Our aim is to ensure that all children are immunised against the diseases as recommended in the childhood schedule, but we believe that this can be accomplished in a gentle and effective manner, spreading the vaccines over a longer timescale and minimising the risk of overloading the system with multiple vaccines.

Mercury / thiomersal free vaccines are now available on the NHS from your family doctor but only in the new 5 in 1 syringe. We avoid giving your child all these vaccines simultaneously.

Should you find that you still have queries concerning vaccinations in general, the timings of the schedule and how they may be adapted to your child's needs, or for any information on mercury-free vaccines, please feel free to contact us and we will arrange for you to speak with one of our medical staff.
